About the
Kentucky
Labor-Management
Conference

Our
Mission

The Kentucky Labor-Management Conference (KLMC) exists to strengthen cooperation, communication, and mutual respect between labor and management throughout the Commonwealth. By bringing leaders together from unions, employers, government, education, and industry, KLMC helps build productive relationships that support strong workplaces and strong communities.

We believe that when labor and management work collaboratively, Kentucky becomes a better place to work, live, and do business.

Founded in 1977, the Kentucky Labor-Management Conference has become a long-standing statewide tradition devoted to partnership and problem-solving in the workplace. For nearly five decades, KLMC has served as a neutral, educational gathering where participants can share ideas, learn from experts, and build meaningful connections that extend far beyond the conference week.

Today, KLMC remains one of the longest-running labor-management events in the nation. A model of cooperation recognized by leaders across Kentucky.

Annual Conference

Held each September at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park, the Kentucky Labor-Management Conference brings together participants from across the Commonwealth and neighboring states for three days of learning, discussion, and community building. The setting provides a welcoming environment for collaboration, allowing labor and management leaders to connect, share experiences, and strengthen relationships that support Kentucky’s workplaces year-round.

Our
Commitment

The KLMC Board of Directors is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming environment for all participants.

Our work is made possible through the support of sponsors, volunteers, presenters, and organizations who share our commitment to productive labor-management relations.

The Kentucky Labor-Management Conference continues to adapt, evolve, and listen to the needs of Kentucky’s workforce — ensuring the conference remains relevant, effective, and valuable year after year.
